Singapore, September 15, 2014– STX Multifeed Pte Ltd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guangxi’s Provincial Government of the People’s Republic of China and Chauson Wood Development Co., Ltd to develop an advanced wood gasification plant to convert waste wood into pipeline quality natural gas that is cheaper than LNG (liquefied natural gas) by at least 10 percent.
The objectives of the Memorandum of Understanding and co-operation includes the following:-
1. Installation and operation of a full sized gasification plant using the patented STX Multifeed™ Process.
2. Establish a technical training and academic institute for gasification excellence to cultivate gasification professionals between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Singapore.
3. Identify and conduct innovation research on identified components of STX Multifeed™ Plant Technology and joint commercialization of any research & development collaboration results.
The Memorandum of Understanding has received the support and endorsement of the Guangxi Provincial Government of the People’s Republic of China, who were also present during the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony.
